Man stabbed to death while playing games inside Tondo computer shop
A 46-year-old man was stabbed to death while playing games at a computer shop in Tondo, Manila on Monday morning, April 13.
The incident occurred at around 11 a.m. inside Jojo Computer Shop along GK Compound, Barangay 105, according to the initial report of the Manila Police District.
The victim was identified as Jhon Jhon Bacolod, a resident of the area.
Based on witness accounts, the victim was playing computer games inside the establishment when two armed suspects suddenly arrived and attacked him without provocation.
The suspects remain at large but have already been identified by investigators as Jeffrey Saludar, 49, and Jefferson Baccay, 25, both residents of Rosal Street, Happyland, Barangay 105.
Police said the suspects were allegedly armed with a bladed weapon when one of them repeatedly stabbed the victim before fleeing the scene with the weapon used.
The victim was rushed to Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center for treatment and underwent emergency medical intervention but was declared dead while undergoing treatment.
Personnel from the Manila Police District Homicide Section were notified by duty personnel and have taken cognizance of the case.
Authorities from the MPD-Smokey Mountain Precinct have launched follow-up operations for the possible arrest of the suspects.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the motive behind the attack.
