A group of supporters of the former Duterte administration and Vice President Sara Duterte gathered on Sunday, April 12 at The Club Filipino in San Juan City, to formally launch the Reform Alliance for Good Governance (RAGE) Coalition.
Led by Mayor Sebastian Duterte, the RAGE Coalition is a multi-sector assembly comprised by various groups and stakeholders who claim to be united under one cause: to fight for truth, uphold good governance, and hold those who must be held accountable.
This comes after Mayor Duterte has been appointed as the new president of the Partido ng Demokratikong Pilipino-Laban (PDP-Laban) on Saturday.
Senators Robinhood “Robin” Padilla and Christopher “Bong” Go were among those who attended the event. Also present were former lawmaker Mike Defensor, Batangas 1st District Rep. Leandro Legarda Leviste, former House speaker Pantaleon “Bebot” Alvarez and former executive secretary Vic Rodriguez.
The launching of the RAGE Coalition also comes ahead of the upcoming hearing of the House Committee on Justice which is expecting the appearance of Ramil Madriaga, a confessed bagman of vice president Sara Duterte, in the impeachment hearing on Tuesday, April 14.
The camp of the vice president earlier filed a petition before the Supreme Court seeking to stop the impeachment proceedings against her. The SC, however, has yet to issue a ruling on her petition.
With no temporary restraining order (TRO) issued by the Supreme Court, the House of Representatives has decided to pursue the impeachment proceedings against the vice president.
Sen. Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa, who has been consistently absent from the Senate since November 2025, issued a televised statement supporting the formation of the RAGE Coalition.
“Hindi tayo papayag na gamitin ang politika para patahimikin ang mga lider na tunay na naglilingkod sa bayan. Ang laban na ito ay hindi lamang para sa iilan, ito ay laban para sa bawat Pilipino na naghahangad ng maayos na pamahalaan, makatarungang sistema at may magandang kinabukasan (We will not allow politics to be used to silence leaders who truly serve the people. This fight is not just for a few, it is a fight for every Filipino who desires good government, a just system and a bright future),” Dela Rosa said in his prepared televised speech.

In his speech, Mayor Duterte slammed the Marcos administration over its inaction on current oil crisis facing the country following the Middle East conflict.
The younger Duterte also rallied support for the upcoming presidential bid in the May 2028 elections of his sister, vice president Sara Duterte.
“Sinabi niya siya ay tatakbong presidente, (kaya) kumilos na tayong lahat! (She promised to run for president, that’s why we should all move),” the mayor said, amid the cheers of the crowd.
He lamented that under President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s term, “drugs and corruption” returned in full force in the country.
“Hindi ako nagsabi nun, yung kapatid niya (It wasn’t me who said it but his sibling),” the mayor pointed out.
“Kailangan well-organized tayo. Kailangan optimistic tayo, at mahalaga sa lahat, kailangan unified tayo (We need to be well-organized. We need to be optimistic. And most importantly, we need to be unified),” he stressed.
“Kailangan magkaisa tayo at since nagdeklara na na tatakbo yung prinsipal natin, who is the vice president Sara Duterte, magsimula na tayong kumilos (We need to be unified and since our principal, who is the Vice President Sara Duterte, has already declared her intention to run, let’s start moving),” Duterte stressed.
