BACOLOD CITY – A couple from this highly-urbanized city extended help on Saturday, April 11, by providing free fuel in a gasoline station to 500 motorcycle and tricycle drivers struggling from consecutive fuel price increases.
Sanny and Shiela Bico said that this is their way of expressing gratitude for blessings they have received and the success of their businesses.
In a Facebook post, Shiela said they aim to inspire and help ease the burden of drivers amid the global oil crisis.
“We share this not to brag, but to inspire. Despite the ongoing crises, we need to stand together and help one another,” she said. “Seeing your smiles and feeling the community spirit made it all worth it,” she added.
She thanked the gasoline station for accommodating and helping them make this happen.
Meanwhile, this city assisted in the return of 16 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) from the Middle East.
