Muntinlupa City broadens free medicine coverage for seniors
Additional medicines have been included in the Muntinlupa City government's RIDEMed Program for senior citizens.
The RIDEMed Program, or Responsive Integrated Delivery of Essential Medicines, provides free medicines delivered to the homes of seniors aged 80 and above, as well as bedridden seniors aged 60 and older.
Mayor Ruffy Biazon announced that the additional medicines in the program are trimetazidine for chest pain, telmisartan for high blood, liclazide for diabetes, carvedilol for the heart and hypertension, and clopidogrel against blood clot.
These are in addition to losartan, amlodipine, metformin, atorvastatin, and vitamin B complex, which were the original medicines in the program.
Biazon said RIDEMed beneficiarties are the ones covered by the medicines for now.
In addition, the Muntinlupa City government's free maintenance medicine program "Love Ko si Lolo, Love Ko si Lola” continues for senior citizens not covered by RIDEMed.
