- Manon's absence from KATSEYE's Coachella debut fuels exit rumors as HYBE confirms her continued hiatus. Fans grow concerned as silence surrounds her status.
The questions surrounding KATSEYE member Manon Bannerman are only getting louder.
As the group made their highly anticipated debut at Coachella on April 10, fans quickly noticed one glaring absence, Manon was nowhere in sight.
Group management HYBE has confirmed that Manon remains on hiatus, citing her need to focus on her health and well-being.
However, beyond that initial statement, details have been scarce.
Her absence at Coachella marks yet another major performance she has missed, following recent appearances at Lollapalooza Argentina and Chile.
Notably, the group’s latest single, "Pinky Up," is also their first release without her participation.
Despite the growing speculation, KATSEYE members have maintained a unified, supportive front.
Members including Sophia Laforteza, Lara Raj, and Daniela Avanzini have publicly expressed their love for Manon, emphasizing that she remains part of their “sisterhood.”
“She’s our sister forever,” Raj shared in a recent interview, while Laforteza reassured fans that Manon is doing well and that the group continues to support her.
Still, the members have stopped short of addressing the bigger question: Will Manon return?
Adding to the uncertainty is Manon’s own silence.
The last time fans got any hint about her status was through social media, where eagle-eyed followers noticed she had removed “KATSEYE” from her bio. Since then, there have been no clarifications, no updates, and no direct communication from the idol herself.
For a fandom as invested as EYEKONS, that silence has only intensified speculation.
Meanwhile, KATSEYE is pushing ahead as a five-member act.
Their Coachella performance drew inspiration from iconic past headliners like Beyoncé, with the group aiming for a maximalist, high-energy stage reminiscent of the superstar’s legendary 2018 set.
The show also marked the live debut of “Pinky Up,” a hyper-pop track signaling a bold new era for the group, one that, at least for now, does not include Manon.
With each passing appearance, concerns among fans continue to grow.
Is this just an extended hiatus or a quiet exit in the making?
Neither HYBE nor Manon has addressed the speculation directly, leaving fans to read between the lines.
And right now, those lines are pointing in an unsettling direction.
