The GS8 HEV made its local debut at MIAS 2026, leading a GAC display that also included the GN8 PHEV, HYPTEC HT, AION V, EMKOO Hybrid, M6 Pro, and Emzoom. The E8 HEV was also shown as a preview of another electrified family vehicle set to join the lineup.
At the center of the stand was GAC’s new large three-row hybrid SUV. The GS8 HEV pairs a turbocharged hybrid powertrain with an e-CVT and all-wheel drive. The turbocharged 2.0-liter engine produces 190-PS and 320-Nm, while the front and rear motors add 182-PS and 270-Nm, and 54-PS and 121-Nm, respectively. Drive modes include Eco, Comfort, and Sport. It has seating for seven, and a 58-liter fuel tank. Standard equipment includes 20-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, power tailgate, 14.6-inch touchscreen, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, Alpine premium sound system, and a 540-degree surround-view camera.The cabin gets leather and leatherette-trimmed seats, driver ventilation, heating, and massage, second-row heating, power-folding third-row seats, three-zone climate control, and ambient lighting.

E8 HEV
The E8 HEV is a seven-seat hybrid MPV with a quoted combined range of up to 1,200-km. Pricing and full local specifications have yet to be announced, but its presence at the show gave visitors an early look at another electrified people mover likely headed for the local lineup.
GN8 PHEV
The GN8 PHEV sits higher up the range as a larger and more premium MPV. Power comes from a 2.0-liter turbocharged Miller-cycle engine and a permanent magnet synchronous motor, with combined output at 378-S and 630-Nm. Battery capacity is 25.5-kWh, with an NEDC electric range of 120 km and a combined -NEDC range of 1,038 km. DC fast charging from 30- to 80- percent takes 45-minutes. The second row gets captain’s chairs with power adjustment, leg rests, ventilation, heating, and massage, along with tray tables and memory functions. The front center armrest cup holder also has heating and cooling functions.
Hyptec and Aion
The HYPTEC HT and AION V covered the battery-electric side of the display. The HYPTEC HT is the more premium of the two, using a rear-mounted electric motor that produces 340-PS and 380-Nm, paired with an 83-kWh battery and an NEDC range of 620-km. The Ultra variant also gets rear gull-wing doors. Other features include Nappa leather seats, a 14.6-inch touchscreen, and Dolby Atmos 7.1.2 audio.
The AION V sits lower in price, but still arrives with substantial range and equipment. Battery capacities are 64.5-kWh and 75.26-kWh depending on variant, with NEDC range figures of 504-km and 602-km respectively. Output is 184-PS for one variant and 245-PS for the other, both with 240-Nm. Equipment includes a panoramic sunroof, heat pump system, in-car refrigerator, 14.6-inch display, and a full ADiGO driver assistance suite.
The Emzoom and Emkoo Hybrid filled the more accessible crossover end of the range. The Emzoom continues with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing 176-PS and 270-Nm. The Emkoo Hybrid brings hybrid power into the compact crossover slot with fuel consumption rated at 22.1 km/L, while the electric motor contributes 182-PS and 300-Nm.
Pricing announced at MIAS puts the GS8 HEV at ₱2,488,000, with an introductory price of ₱2,338,000. The GN8 PHEV is priced at ₱3,388,000, with an introductory price of ₱3,238,000. For the HYPTEC HT, the Elite is at ₱2,260,000 with an introductory price of ₱2,160,000, while the Premium is at ₱2,580,000 with an introductory price of ₱2,480,000. The AION V Premium is priced at ₱1,498,000 with an introductory price of ₱1,418,000, while the Ultra is at ₱1,698,000 with an introductory price of ₱1,598,000. GAC said introductory pricing for the GS8 HEV, GN8 PHEV, HYPTEC HT, and AION V runs until May 31, 2026, with additional cash discounts of up to ₱20,000 available on select models during MIAS through BPI.
With the GS8 HEV now launched, the GN8 PHEV priced, two EVs already in the mix, and the E8 HEV waiting in the wings, GAC now covers more ground in the local electrified vehicle market.
