ZAMBOANGA CITY - The MV Sug Adventure, a passenger vessel, collided with a motorboat in the sea of Santa Cruz Island here on Friday night, April 10.
An initial report by the Philippine Coast Guard said the MV Sug Adventure was traversing the sea when a motor banca suffered a carburetor malfunction which caused it to accelerate into the passenger vessel.
The MV Sug Adventure took the three injured passengers on board and brought them to the Zamboanga City port.
They were met by Coast Guard Zamboanga Station and Philippine Red Cross personnel who treated them.
The Philippine Coast Guard is investigating the incident.
