The Caloocan City Police Station (CCPS) apprehended 172 ordinance violators in a late-night Oplan Galugad operation across North and South Caloocan on Thursday, Apr. 9.
The operation, launched around 10 p.m. under Police Colonel Joey T. Goforth and led by PLt. Col. Ilustre K. Mendoza, stepped up police visibility while enforcing local ordinances in key areas.
Drinking in public places topped the violations with 50 apprehensions, followed by smoking in public places and half-naked violations with 43 each.
Curfew violations accounted for 24 apprehensions, while littering and urinating in public places recorded 10 and two, respectively.
Authorities said the operation is part of efforts to curb minor violations and maintain public order during late-night hours.
The Caloocan police said similar enforcement drives will continue to sustain peace and order and ensure community safety in both the northern and southern parts of the city.
