The Northern Police District (NPD) said eight wanted persons, including a most wanted individual, were arrested in simultaneous “Warrant Day” operations across Northern Metro Manila on Thursday, April 9.
One of the arrests was carried out inside the Caloocan City Jail in Barangay Dagat-Dagatan, where authorities served a warrant on a most wanted suspect already in custody.
NPD Acting District Director, Christopher R. Dela Cruz, said the operations reflect sustained coordination among district units and city police stations in enforcing court-issued warrants.
Police said the operation led to the arrest of one most wanted person and seven other wanted individuals in separate, coordinated actions across the district.
The most wanted suspect, a 24-year-old male, was served a warrant of arrest at around 4:45 p.m. by personnel of the Warrant and Subpoena Section of the Caloocan City Police Station.
The suspect, an unemployed resident of Barangay Pabuan in Gapan City, Nueva Ecija, is facing charges for violation of Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165.Police said the warrant was issued by a Regional Trial Court in Gapan City in connection with Criminal Case Nos. 27601-25 and 27602-25.
Authorities said personnel used an alternative recording device in compliance with body-worn camera requirements during the operation.
The suspect remains in custody pending the issuance of a commitment order from the court.
Meanwhile, seven other wanted persons were arrested in separate operations conducted by various NPD police stations during the same initiative.
Dela Cruz commended the operating units, saying the accomplishment reflects discipline and professionalism in line with the Philippine National Police’s F.I.G.H.T. C.R.I.M.E.S. framework.
