Bol, TNT eye bounce back vs skidding Dyip

Seemingly struggling to get themselves into a consistent groove, the Tropang 5G (2-2) are aiming to get back on track in the 5:15 p.m. affair against the Dyip (3-2).
Easier said than done, however, with Terrafirma also aching to snap a two-game slide after an surprising 3-0 start to the mid-season conference.
Quickly following suit in the second game at 7:30 p.m. is the clash between Meralco, which is seeking its third straight win, and the luckless Macau which remained without a victory after five games.
No doubt a fan favorite, TNT’s 7-foot-3 import Bol Bol is expected to draw a huge crowd once more with his matchup against Terrafirma’s own 7-footer in Ali Mubashar.
Bol had 28 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks — a line a bit less impressive by his standards especially after dominating in the team’s last three games. Turned out the lanky center was playing through a stomach flu.
Although expected to be back in full health, TNT is surely needing help from the likes of RR Pogoy, Calvin Oftana and Jayson Castro if they wish to topple the vastly improved Terrafirma.
The Dyip, on the other hand, will need more scoring contributions outside Mubashar and gunner Jerrick Ahanmisi – something that the Dyip lost after their hot start.
Meanwhile in the second game, the Bolts are riding the momentum from their stunning 110-106 win over the Tropa.
While boasting a 4-1 slate, Meralco isn’t being complacent against Macau.
For one the Black Knights are coming off a long break and should be hungrier than ever to pick up the win and pump life to their flickering playoff hopes.
