INFANTA, Quezon – Eight construction company employees were robbed in their staff house in Purok Gitna, Barangay Dinahican, this town, on Thursday, April 9.
Police said five suspects wearing gray and red jackets, maong pants, gray and black rubber shoes, face masks, and dirty white bull caps, and armed with guns and a jungle bolo forcibly barged through the main door at about 12:30 a.m.
The suspects declared a holdup and tied the victims’ hands with duct tape and carted their laptops, smartphones, and P12,000.
They fled onboard a Sports Utility Vehicle towards the main road of this town.
Five victims left for Manila shortly after the incident due to fear.
Investigation added that the company's security guards were just 150 meters away from the house. Police did not disclose why they did not notice or respond to the incident.
Police are conducting follow-up operations.
