The Philippines has called upon all parties to adhere to the ceasefire agreement between the United States and Iran and end the attacks in Lebanon.
Through the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), the Philippines on Thursday, April 9, expressed "grave concern over the escalation of conflict and the worsening humanitarian situation in Lebanon."
"We call for the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement pursuant to UN Security Council Resolution 1701 and urge all parties to fully abide by international humanitarian law, most notably the protection of civilians and UN personnel, including humanitarian, health and media workers," the DFA said in a statement.
"We also call upon all parties to the conflict in Lebanon to end hostilities and allow for diplomatic efforts at resolving the conflict in the wider region to proceed," the DFA added.
According to the Philippine Embassy in Beirut, there are around 14,000 Filipinos living and working in Lebanon as of December 2025.
"As of this writing, no Filipinos are hurt in the ongoing hostilities, as reported by the Philippine Embassy in Beirut," the department said.
