The Pasay City government announced that scheduled power and internet interruptions will affect Barangay 184, Maricaban, following the collapse of a post owned by the Manila Electric Company (Meralco).
In an advisory, the city government said the Meralco post on Gumamela Street gave way under the weight of unserviceable wires attached to it, prompting its immediate replacement to ensure public safety and restore stable utility services in the area.
As a result, power service will be temporarily cut from 12 noon to 6 p.m. on April 8. Internet services, meanwhile, are expected to be disrupted from 12 noon of April 8 until 6 p.m. of April 9, as telecommunications lines were also affected by the incident.
Residents are advised to make the necessary preparations, such as charging electronic devices and planning ahead for possible connectivity issues during the scheduled interruptions.
The city government assured the public that efforts are underway to expedite the replacement of the damaged post and minimize inconvenience to affected households.
