The Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) is shaping up to focus heavily on electrified vehicles. This year’s event also gives a good sense of where the Philippine market is moving. Several brands are using the show to introduce models that reflect the industry’s growing shift toward EVs, hybrids, and REEVs.
UAAGI will account for a large part of that activity, with several brands spread across different areas of the World Trade Center grounds. Its display covers SUVs, off-roaders, pickups, and other new-energy models, giving visitors a broad look at how quickly the market is changing.
Jetour
Jetour is one of the brands likely to draw attention with the G700, which is set for its launch at the show. In a market that still responds strongly to the brand's large, muscular SUVs, Jetour adds another premium electrified option to the mix.
BAIC
BAIC will also bring a different angle with the B40e Trailmaster rEV. While many electrified models still lean toward city use, this one points toward a tougher, more outdoor-focused direction.
Jaecoo
Jaecoo J5 SHS-H
Jaecoo is also set to launch the J5 HEV. It gives the brand a hybrid model aimed at buyers who want better efficiency without making the jump to a full EV yet.
Denza
Denza is expected to widen its local presence with the D9 and Z9 GT, along with previews of the B5 and B8 SUVs. The brand is ready to show its plans for a more robust lineup in the Philippines.
GWM
GWM is expected to give showgoers a peek at the Tank 700, Ora 5, and Haval H7, covering a wide spread of styles for would-be buyers to choose from.
ROX
ROX Motor adds to the show’s growing REEV presence with the Adamas, a large SUV aimed at buyers who want something upscale, spacious, and well-suited to long-distance use.
Radar
Radar takes electrification into pickup territory through the RD6 lineup, ready to give consumers another option in that segment.
BYD
BYD is also set to launch the Sealion 7 BEV in a bid to woo current fans to upgrade to a fully electric option.
Deepal
Newcomer Deepal, a sub-brand of Changan Auto brought in by the Autohub group, will feature their S05 REEV and the adventure-focused G318 REEV.
Kia
Kia, meanwhile, is set to launch the EV5, a model that may end up being one of the more important models for the brand, coming at a time when consumers are seriously considering moving up to fully electrified vehicles.
MIAS 2026 is shaping up to show how quickly electrification is spreading across the market, including SUVs, off-roaders, and pickups. The Manila International Auto Show runs from April 9 to 12 at World Trade Center Metro Manila (WTCMM) and Philippine Trade Training Center (PTTC).
