Tomorrow X Together releases tracklist, preview, photos for upcoming album
K-pop boy band Tomorrow X Together released the tracklist, preview and concept photos for their eighth mini-album “7th Year: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorns.”
Bounded by thorns, a key symbol of the album, the upcoming release has six tracks that offer a journey through diverse genres, woven into a cohesive narrative that defines the group’s evolved musical identity—"Bed of Thorns," "Stick With You," "Take Me to Nirvana (feat. Vinida Weng)," "So What," "21st Century Romance," and "Dream of Mine."
The lead single, "Stick With You," is an electro pop track built around an addictive, high-impact chorus, featuring a vintage 909 drum sound infused with elements of techno punk.
Portraying the inability to let go of a partner who is preparing for a breakup, the track captures the desperation of holding onto the drifting relationship for "just one more day."
The album's opener, "Bed of Thorns," is inspired by the idiom "You’ve made your bed, now lie in it," conveying a message of fully embracing the consequences of one’s choices.
The third track "Take Me to Nirvana (feat. Vinida Weng)" captures the rush of liberation that follows letting go of uncertainty.
In "So What," Tomorrow X Together expresses the anxiety and doubts accumulated over the past seven years with candor and wit, while "21st Century Romance" reflects their resolve to follow their inner compass amid the hollow noise of the modern world.
The final track, "Dream of Mine," closes the album on a note of anticipation, embracing tomorrow as the future remains unknown.
Throughout the concept photos, the metaphor of “thorns” is intricately woven into every frame, reimagining the quintet’s inner uncertainty and emotional turbulence.
The monochrome visuals of the “thorn” concept evoke a sense of rebirth, where the absence of color marks the threshold of a new beginning.
The “hunger” concept explores the void left after a turbulent emotional storm, contrasting the members’ serene expressions in pajamas against a thorn-covered debris.
“7th Year: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorns” will be released on April 13 at 6 p.m. KST (5 p.m. Philippine time).
