Canon Philippines joins 8,000 advocates at Happy Walk 2026 in show of Down Syndrome solidarity
Canon Marketing Philippines participated in Happy Walk 2026, the annual Down Syndrome advocacy event organized by the Down Syndrome Association of the Philippines (DSAPI), drawing approximately 8,000 participants to the SMX Convention Center at SM Mall of Asia in Manila.
The Manila leg of Happy Walk 2026 brought together families, students, volunteers, and corporate advocates in a celebration centered on inclusion, acceptance, and equal opportunity for individuals with Down Syndrome. Canon executives, employees, and their families participated as active participants alongside sponsors, contributing to what organizers described as one of the most well-attended editions of the event.
Canon's role and statement
Anuj Aggarwal, president and CEO of Canon Marketing Philippines said: "At Canon, inclusion is more than a value. It is a responsibility we embrace through meaningful action. What is Happy Walk?
Happy Walk is an annual advocacy event organized by the Down Syndrome Association of the Philippines. Now considered one of the Philippines' most prominent disability awareness events, it aims to shift public perceptions around Down Syndrome and promote social inclusion nationwide. The 2026 edition was held at SM Mall of Asia in Manila.
