2 nabbed in Cavite gas station heist; P99,000 cash recovered

CAVITE – Authorities arrested two suspects who robbed a gas station in General Emilio Aguinaldo evening Monday, April 6.
The Cavite Police Provincial Office (Cavite PPO) identified the suspects as alias Emil and alias Eman.
CCTV footage showed the two suspects arriving on a motorcycle and pretending to refuel at the gas station.
After parking, they approached two station personnel who were busy attending to customers. The suspects declared a hold-up, took the personnel’s bags, and fled on the same motorcycle.
General Emilio Aguinaldo Municipal Police Station (GEA MPS) immediately launched a hot pursuit operation. The suspects were spotted along Alfonso Road, triggering a chase.
During the pursuit, alias Emil reportedly drew a firearm and attempted to shoot at responding officers, forcing police to return fire. The armed suspect sustained a gunshot wound and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Recovered at the scene were a shotgun, a kitchen knife, two mobile phones, P33,420 cash, and the getaway motorcycle.

Alias Eman managed to flee but was arrested in follow-up operations on Tuesday morning, April 7. Recovered from his possession was P66,520 cash, bringing the total recovered amount to P99,940.
The Cavite PPO told the Manila Bulletin that alias Eman claimed he was 17 years old. Authorities are waiting for his parents to submit his birth certificate to verify his age before turning him over to the social welfare and development office.
Both suspects are currently under the custody of GEA MPS.
In a statement, Cavite PPO director Col. Ariel R. Red said the swift resolution of the case highlights the police force’s commitment to law enforcement.
