Google allows US users to change their gmail addresses, global rollout expected soon

Do you have a personal gmail account that you’ve made, perhaps when you were much younger, maybe it was originally for your early Riot years, Steam, whatever, and somehow it’s become your main email address that people all over, all around, even at work or peers, use to get in touch with you?
Of course if you have something like pritongbulal03488 at gmail dot com, I can understand the hesitation in sharing it.
Your alternative is to make a second gmail account, the more professional one. However, it can be an uphill struggle, because you have to update people about it, all your Docs, photos, and every other data are locked in that old email. But you end up keeping the old email anyway, just in case someone unexpected emails you, just in case there is that one important email, or doc, that you may have missed. What happens is just more messiness.
Google is finally allowing users to change their cringy emails. At least in the US, for now. Gmail users will be able to change the usernames, the ones before the gmail dot com into something else that users will be more proud of sharing.
There are no updates as to when this feature will be available in the Philippines. But a global roll out is expected. So expect some updates in the coming months. For now, you’ll have to hold on to your pritongbulalo gmail.
