Farm Fresh and Nxled clash at 4 p.m. while multi-titled Creamline collides with Akari at 6:30 p.m. in a pair of nail-biting matches.
The winner of the Farm Fresh-Nxled duel will set up a semis showdown with PLDT, while the victor in the Creamline-Akari battle will face Cignal.
The Chameleons seek a repeat performance from the Foxies, but are expecting another down-the-wire match after their first meeting ended in five sets.
Brooke Van Sickle, Myla Pablo and MJ Phillips are set to anchor Nxled anew with their consistent, solid showing in the preliminaries, as well as in their first play-in match against the Galeries Tower they combined for 41 points.
But Farm Fresh has its own lethal weapon in Trisha Tubu, whose all-around performance makes her the leading MVP contender along with PLDT’s Savi Davison.
The hard-hitting Tubu not only leads the spiking department, but is also fourth in blocks.
In the other pairing, the Cool Smashers aim to return to familiar territory and further cement their dynasty against the dangerous Chargers, who finished third last year.
Creamline banks on championship experience -- having won 10 titles in league history -- with seasoned players Alyssa Valdez, Michelle Gumabao, Jema Galanza and Bernadeth Pons forming its core.
But Akari boasts of impressive chemistry and firepower bannered by Ivy Lacsina, Eli Soyud and Grethcel Soltones -- evident in their four-set win against Creamline in their first encounter.
Meanwhile, semifinal heats up on Saturday, April 11.
