De Luna toppled New Zealand's Clark Sullivan, 8-4; Malayan survived German Joshua Filler, 8-7; and Corteza outclassed Finland’s Arseni Sebastyanov, 8-4.
Carlo Biado, for his part, suffered a 8-4 setback to American Skyler Woodward, sending him down the losers’ bracket.
The world 9-ball and 10-ball champion needed to beat Ukraine’s Vitaly Patsura to earn a spot in the knockout phase.
Meanwhile, De Luna arranged his final preliminaries match against Germany’s Stefan Kasper, while Malayan battles Finland’s Casper Cappe Matikainen, and Corteza clashes with Wiktor Zielinski.
Among the early entries in the Last 32 are Spaniard Francisco Sanchez Ruiz, Great Britain’s Jayson Shaw, and Singapore’s Aloysius Yapp, to name a few.
Roberto Gomez was the latest casualty in the double elimination stage, absorbing a narrow 7-8 loss to Poland’s Radoslaw Babica.
