F4 rose to prominence through the hit 2001 drama "Meteor Garden," which became a cultural phenomenon across Asia, including the Philippines.
The series, based on the Japanese manga "Boys Over Flowers" by Yoko Kamio, starred late actress Barbie Hsu alongside the group.
Hsu, who passed away in February 2025 due to influenza-related pneumonia, was instrumental in the show’s success, which helped launch the careers of the four male leads and paved the way for the rise of idol dramas in the region.
