CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – The Police Regional Office 4-A apprehended 38 wanted persons in the Calabarzon region from Black Saturday to Easter Sunday.
Police Brig. Gen. Hansel M. Marantan, PRO 4-A director, said 23 were most wanted persons and 15 were other wanted persons.
Marantan said the “Huli Week” campaign underscores their commitment to ensuring public safety by tracking down individuals with standing warrants of arrest.
He assured the people that they remain steadfast in their mandate to serve especially during significant national observances.
Marantan urged the people to report any information that may lead to the arrest of wanted persons.
Meanwhile, a man suffering from epilepsy drowned while swimming in the sea in Barangay Tuhian on Black Saturday in Catanauan, Quezon.
Police identified the victim as June, 33, a resident of Barangay Pidac, General Luna, Quezon.
He was recovered and taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.
