Stray Kids, Jun Ji-hyun attend state luncheon with French, South Korean presidents
K-pop group Stray Kids, actress Jun Ji-hyun and other celebrities attended a state luncheon with French President Emmanuel Macron and South Korean President Lee Jae-myung on April 3 to mark the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
The luncheon was held to celebrate the state visit of Marcon to Korea on April 2 and 3.
Joining the event at the Blue House State Guest House in Seoul were Korean First Lady Kim Hea-kyung, French First Lady Brigitte Macron, Korean rapper Psy, Jeon Jong-seo, and Noh Sang-hyun.
Stray Kids’ Felix and Jun Ji-hyun are the honorary ambassadors for the 140th anniversary of France-South Korea diplomatic relations.
In a post on X, President Lee congratulated Felix and Jun Ji-hyun.
"140th Anniversary of Diplomatic Relations between Korea and France, Félicitations! To our honorary ambassadors, #JunJiHyun and #StrayKids' #FelixYongbok. We feel so reassured thanks to both of you. Based on 140 years of friendship and trust, we look forward to an even brighter future for our two nations,” he wrote.
On Instagram, Felix posted a photo with Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong at the luncheon.
President Lee welcomed President Macron’s first visit to Korea since taking office, marking the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Korea and France this year.
He noted that the visit holds special significance as he is the first European leader to visit as a state guest since the launch of the new government.
In response, Macron conveyed that it was meaningful to visit Korea as the president of France for the first time in 11 years.
