Marcos calls for hope, unity in Easter Sunday message
President Marcos has called on Filipinos to embrace hope, unity, and compassion as the nation celebrates Easter Sunday, marking the culmination of Holy Week.
“I join the entire Filipino nation in celebrating Easter Sunday, the triumphant culmination of Holy Week and the sacred proclamation of Christ’s Resurrection,” the President said in his message.
According to the President, Easter serves as a reminder that hope prevails even in difficult times.
“Easter has reminded us that sacrifice is never in vain, that suffering is not the end but the beginning of renewal,” he said.
He added that the Resurrection of Christ reflects an “unshakable promise” that faith can guide people through life’s challenges.
Call for compassion, unity
The President urged Filipinos to translate faith into action by choosing compassion and unity.
“Let us always choose compassion over indifference, generosity over self-interest, and unity over division,” he said.
He stressed that acts of kindness and helping others contribute to national renewal.
‘Rise with renewed purpose’
Marcos encouraged Filipinos to remain steadfast and hopeful.
“Today, I call on every Filipino to rise with renewed purpose, unyielding hope, and a deep sense of responsibility for one another,” he said.
He likewise called on the public to move forward with renewed purpose and shared responsibility.
“Let us build a nation where kindness is instinct and unity is our strength,” Marcos said.
He added that collective action anchored on faith and love of country will help overcome challenges and advance the vision of a “Bagong Pilipinas.”
