Manon sparks exit rumors as KATSEYE drops 5-member teaser for 'Pinky Up'

The internet is spiraling. This time, it’s all about Manon Bannerman and whether she’s quietly stepping away from popular girl group KATSEYE.

Fans went into full detective mode on April 3 after noticing something very telling: Manon’s Instagram bio no longer mentions KATSEYE. Instead, it simply reads “mademoiselle manzanita.”

Screenshots spread like wildfire, with netizens asking the question no fandom wants to face: Is Manon leaving KATSEYE?

Fuel was added to the fire when KATSEYE teased their upcoming single “Pinky Up.”

Eagle-eyed fans quickly noticed something was off. Only five members appeared in the teaser: Sophia, Daniela, Lara, Megan, and Yoonchae.

Manon was nowhere in sight.

For a group originally introduced as six, her absence was quite noticeable.

Despite the growing buzz, the group's management, HYBE, has declined to comment on the situation.

That silence is only intensifying speculation, especially with KATSEYE’s high-profile Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival performance looming on April 11.

Will Manon take the stage or is this the beginning of a lineup shift?

On Weverse, Manon addressed fans with a message that’s equal parts reassuring and mysterious:
“HxG and I are having positive conversations… I’m happy and I’m healthy. I’ll share more soon.”
While some fans see this as confirmation she’s staying, others believe the wording hints at negotiations behind the scenes.

Back in February, HYBE confirmed Manon was on hiatus due to health concerns.

At the time, the company emphasized that the group would reunite “when the time is right.”

But now, with a missing bio, a 5-member teaser, and no firm return timeline, fans are questioning if this is still just about health… or something deeper.

Online reactions are sharply split. Optimists say this is a standard hiatus being blown out of proportion. Skeptics argue the signs point to a soft exit already in motion.
