Man arrested for stealing traffic light cables in Quezon City

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced the arrest of a man caught stealing cables from a traffic light operated by the agency at the E. Rodriguez-Araneta intersection in Quezon City on Good Friday, April 3.

Based on the police report, the suspect was caught by an MMDA site roadwork engineer in possession of the traffic light cables, prompting him to report the theft to the MMDA Traffic Engineering Center.

Responding police officers immediately apprehended the suspect and recovered the stolen cables.

Police said the man was brought to Galas Police Station 11 and will be charged with theft.
