SM Entertainment announced on April 3 that K-pop idol Mark will be leaving the agency and boy band NCT.
The agency and Mark agreed to terminate his exclusive contract as of April 8 and he will also leave NCT, including NCT 127 and NCT Dream.
NCT 127 will continue with seven members: Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, and Haechan, and NCT Dream will be left with six members: Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung.

“We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all the fans who have always sent their unwavering support to NCT.
“We have held in-depth discussions with Mark regarding his future activities over a long period of time, and after sufficient mutual dialogue, we have agreed to terminate his exclusive contract as of April 8. Accordingly, Mark will conclude all activities with NCT, including NCT 127 and NCT DREAM.
“Since debuting with the group NCT in 2016, Mark has demonstrated outstanding capabilities not only in group activities but also as a solo artist, showcasing a wonderful career over the past 10 years. We express our gratitude for the precious time we have walked together and sincerely support Mark's future as he leaves the team to embark on a new journey.
“Going forward, NCT 127 plans to continue activities with 7 members: Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, and Haechan, while NCT DREAM will continue with 6 members: Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung. We will continue to provide full support for the activities of NCT members, and we will do our utmost for the fans who have consistently loved NCT.”
