Suspected 'salvage' victim found in Negros

BACOLOD CITY – The body of a suspected summary execution or "salvage" victim was discovered  in Purok 3, Barangay Laga-an, Calatrava, Negros Occidental on Wednesday, April 1.
Police said victim Wewin, 32, who sustained slash and multiple stab wounds, was last seen alive at around 10 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31.
The victim was believed to have been attacked by one or more persons.
Police said no witnesses have come forward to identify the perpetrator or provide a clear account of the incident. No weapon was recovered in the area.
An autopsy has been conducted on the victim to determine the exact cause of death and document the extent of injuries.
Police are conducting follow-up investigation.
