Student hit, killed by Tesla SUV in Leyte

TACLOBAN CITY – A 21-year-old student was hit and killed by a Tesla Wagon Sports Utility Vehicle in Barangay Cabuynan, Tanauan, Leyte, on Wednesday, April 1.
The victim was identified May of Barangay San Rafael, Dulag, Leyte.
Investigation supported by witness accounts and barangay surveillance footage said the driver and owner of the stealth gray Tesla Wagon SUV, 58-year-old Bart of Barangay Tuyo, MacArthur, Leyte, failed to notice May as she was crossing the inner lane of the highway and accidentally struck her.
She was thrown several meters away and was taken to a hospital where he was declared dead.
Bart, who was traveling from Tanauan towards Tolosa, Leyte, was unharmed.
He was taken to the Tanauan MPS, along with his vehicle, for documentation and proper disposition.
