Cagayan – Police recently reunited a missing man with his family after he was found wandering in a remote area in Barangay Ayod, Dinapigue, Isabela.
The Police Regional Office-2 commended the Dinapigue Municipal Police Station and residents for their swift and compassionate response.
A man, Noel, 43, of San Luis, Aurora, arrived in a house exhausted and distressed on March 27 and residents provided food, shelter, and care.
People informed the police who coordinated with authorities in Aurora. Through social media, community assistance, and follow-up investigation, his identity was confirmed.
After five days, his family was located, leading to an emotional reunion on March 30. He was found in good condition.
Police Brig. Gen. Antonio P. Marallag Jr., PRO-2 director, praised the effort as a model of community-based policing and cooperation between the police and the public.
