12 drug suspects nabbed in Gen. Trias Maundy Thursday bust

CAVITE – Authorities arrested 12 drug suspects in a buy-bust operation in General Trias City early morning on Maundy Thursday, April 2.

The Cavite Police Provincial Office said the sting operation resulted in the confiscation of 14 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu with an estimated street value of P20,400, along with drug paraphernalia.

Operatives also seized a gun and ammunition.

The suspects are now under the custody of the General Trias Component City Police Station and are facing drug charges.

The pieces of evidence, meanwhile, were turned over to the Provincial Forensic Unit in Imus City for forensic examination.

In a statement, Cavite PPO Director Ariel R. Red commended the successful operation and said the arrest is a “clear manifestation of the prompt, efficient, and well-coordinated efforts of our police force in the fight against criminality and illegal drugs.”
