DAGUPAN CITY, Pangasinan – The fourth district of Pangasinan is prepared to welcome devotees for Visita Iglesia this Holy Week.
Historic and picturesque churches here, Mangaldan, San Fabian, San Jacinto, and Manaoag are open for worship and reflection.
The Minor Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary in Manaoag is a major pilgrimage site in Northern Luzon and heritage churches Saint Hyacinth Parish Church in San Jacinto and Saint Thomas Aquinas Parish Church in Mangaldan offer rich history and religious artistry for visitors.
Pangasinan Rep. Gina de Venecia encouraged people to make their Visita Iglesia meaningful.
“While enjoying the beauty and history of our churches, let us not forget the true spirit of Holy Week: Panata, reflection, and deepening our faith.”
“These churches in the fourth district offer both spiritual enrichment and a chance to connect with our heritage,” she added.
Other churches open for Visita Iglesia are Parish of Saint Fabian, Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint John the Evangelist, and several smaller parishes in the district.
Visitors were reminded to respect the sacred places when they take photos for memories and social media.
The fourth district is accessible through the Tarlac-Pangasinan La Union Expressway.
