ROXAS, Isabela – The Land Transportation Office-2 has launched “Oplan: Semana Santa” in the Cagayan Valley region for expected surge of travelers this Holy Week.
LTO-Roxas chief Marjhon Deray said the operation began last week with assistance desks set up in strategic locations throughout the region.
These are aimed at promptly addressing the needs of motorists, particularly on major thoroughfares.
Deray added that the Oplan will run until April 5 to ensure continuous service and assistance to the public.
The LTO said that no apprehensions will be conducted until the end of Holy Week. Officials stressed that this should not be taken as an excuse for motorists to disregard traffic rules.
The agency reminded the public that road discipline remains essential in preventing accidents and ensuring the safety of all travelers this Holy Week.
