In a resurfaced interview with Boy Abunda on "Tonight With Boy Abunda," Matty revealed that he looks up to the Gonzaga sisters, Toni and Alex.
"I watched it like three times — the uncut interview you had with them. I was laughing so hard. May gift of humor sila sa isa't isa. I love their sense of humor," Matty shared, referring to Boy's interview with the sisters on the same show, adding that he was planning to start vlogging at the time.
Tito Boy wasted no time encouraging him: "Go ahead, do what you want to do. Be original."
The King of Talk then challenged Matty to recite lines from the 2013 film "Four Sisters and a Wedding," which stars his idol Toni Gonzaga alongside Bea Alonzo, Angel Locsin, and Shaina Magdayao.
Matty then confidently delivered the lines, saying, "Memorize ko po yan." He claimed to have seen the film 20 times. Watch the video below:
Matty, a member of the LGBTQ+ community, is currently based in Glasgow, Scotland, where he works as a waiter and a singer.
During his audition for "BGT," Matty earned a Golden Buzzer for his stunning rendition of "Purple Rain" originally done by Prince.
Matty’s Golden Buzzer moment sends him straight to the semifinals, skipping the elimination rounds entirely.
