BACOLOD CITY – SM Foundation Inc. recently upgraded two barangay health stations here that will benefit 27,000 residents in 15 barangays.
Mayor Greg Gasataya thanked the SM Foundation and said the improvements at the Mabini and ETCS stations will enhance the delivery of essential health services.
He emphasized that it is a shared commitment to address one of the most critical needs of the people of Bacolod—accessible healthcare.
“This goes beyond a simple partnership; it is more personal because you are assisting the people of Bacolod City in one of their most important needs, and that is our health,” Gasataya said.
Gasataya assured that the enhanced facilities will be well- maintained in partnership with the City Health Office (CHO).
SMFI Executive Director for Health and Medical Programs Connie Angeles said the projects form part of the foundation’s growing network of community health facilities.
City Health Officer Dr. Carmela Gensoli described the initiatives as a strong public-private partnership and said that the upgrades bring not only better equipment and medicines but also dignity and hope for patients.
SM Foundation has renovated 228 health centers nationwide.
