Public high school teacher nabbed in drug sting

TACLOBAN CITY – A public high school teacher was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Padoga, Calubian, Leyte, on Monday.
Police identified the suspect as Arcy, 39, a teacher at Felix Caneja National High School and resident of Barangay Gotusan, Calubian.
Recovered from him were a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu; a black coin purse with three small heat-sealed plastic sachets of suspected shabu; a red envelope containing two medium heat-sealed plastic sachets of suspected shabu; a self-sealing plastic sachet of suspected dried marijuana leaves, and the P500 buy-bust money.
The estimated weights of the contrabands are still being determined by the Regional Forensic Unit-8.
Authorities are preparing criminal charges against the suspect.
