PhilWeb to provide online games for Gokongwei's NUSTAR
PhilWeb Corp. is expanding into game content distribution and aggregation through a partnership with NUSTAR Online, the digital gaming arm of the Gokongwei Group’s flagship integrated resort in Cebu.
In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, PhilWeb said the move follows its recent business-to-business accreditation under the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp. (Pagcor) framework, the company said in a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange.
The accreditation allows the firm to serve as a technology and service provider within the country's regulated gaming ecosystem.
Under the new initiative, PhilWeb is positioning itself as a central hub for licensed operators, establishing ties with global gaming content providers to build a unified aggregation layer. This platform interface is designed to provide operators with a broad portfolio of compliant gaming content through a single integration point.
PhilWeb is also integrating content from various international studios through aggregation arrangements. This strategy aims to provide a diversified and continuously updated content library to its licensed partners.
The initial rollout of the service is expected to feature two distinct operator profiles: PT Gaming and NUSTAR Online. PT Gaming provides the partnership with digital-native reach and entertainment relevance, while NUSTAR Online contributes the brand equity and premium player base of the NUSTAR Resort and Casino.
PhilWeb President Brian Ng said the initiative is a natural extension of the company's platform strategy. By combining distribution and aggregation, the firm intends to provide a more comprehensive and integrated service for operators working within the local regulatory framework.
As the Philippine gaming market shifts toward more structured infrastructure, the role of content distribution and platform management is becoming increasingly vital.
The company has recently secured similar agreements with major industry players, including Okada Manila and Hann Casino, to support their respective entries into the online gaming sector. PhilWeb also maintains a partnership with gaming equipment provider FBM for the deployment of 30,000 offline gaming machines across the Philippines.
