Park Seo-joon breaks typecast in crime series 'Born Guilty'
Widely known for his versatility in hit dramas such as “What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim,” “Itaewon Class,” “Fight for My Way,” and “Gyeongseong Creature,” actor Park Seo-joon takes on a new challenge as he leads his first-ever noir series, "Born Guilty."
On March 30, Disney+ confirmed the production by unveiling photos from the script reading, along with its cast lineup, including actor Um Tae-goo and actress-model Jo Hye-joo.
Recognized as the “King of Romcoms,” Seo-joon ventures into a completely different role as a notorious villain named “Paeng-i.”
Adapted from the popular 2022 Kakao Webtoon of the same name by author Lee Moo-gi, the crime-action noir series is set in the 1980s.
The drama follows Seo-jun, who survived the violent incident at the pawnshop and finds himself drawn into a dangerous criminal underworld.
Directed by the creative mind behind the film “Deliver Us from Evil,” director Hong Won-chan marks his series directorial debut.
