P20 rice under BBM program for sale in Dagupan

DAGUPAN CITY — Rice at P20 per kilo under the government’s “Benteng Bigas, Meron Na’’ program continues to be sold here.
Mayor Belen Fernandez said that Tricycle Operators and Drivers’ Associations (TODA) and other vulnerable sectors availed on the second day of the program on Tuesday, March 31, at the city plaza.
The program is being implemented through close coordination with the Department of Agriculture, Food Terminal Inc., and the National Food Authority.
Also ongoing is the Kadiwa ng Pangulo where locally produced goods are sold directly from farmers to consumers.
City government offices were deployed to ensure smooth operations and residents were provided free refreshments.
City officials assured continued partnership with the national government to bring more services and assistance to the people.
