ILOILO CITY— The Police Regional Office-6 awarded eight outstanding lady police officers in Western Visayas region at the end of National Women’s Month.
PRO-6 chief Brig. Gen. Josefino Ligan and lawyer Mehelinda A. Penetrante, president of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP)-Iloilo, led the awarding ceremony in Camp Delgado on Monday, March 30.
The Medalya ng Kasanayan were awarded to Lt. Col. Marie Faith Superio of the Guimaras Provincial Police Office (PPO); Lt. Romadelle P. Velasco of the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO); Lt. Ruth T. Laudato of the Anini-y Municipal Police Station (MPS) in Antique; Executive Master Sgt. Rodalyn P. Sorongon of the Iloilo PPO; Executive Master Sgt. Aisah V. Palomar of the Tapaz MPS in Capiz; Master Sgt. Jeyrose B. Magon of the PRO-6 Regional Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD); Staff Sgt. Mutya Marie V. Onayan of the Lezo MPS in Aklan, and Col. Lea Rose B. Peña, the first female provincial director of the Antique PPO.
The Iloilo PPO was awarded Outstanding Unit while Jacqueline E. Panaguiton of the Grupo-Pag-Ulikid was named Outstanding Stakeholder.
