K-pop girl group ILLIT to make comeback in April with album 'Mamihlapinatapai'
SEOUL, South Korea - K-pop girl group ILLIT will be releasing their fourth mini-album “Mamihlapinatapai” on April 30, marking their return with a bold, candid voice and deeper emotional complexity.
“Mamihlapinatapai” is from a word in the Yaghan language, describing the quiet yet charged moment when two people hesitate to act on mutual feelings.
Built around intertwined themes of excitement and tension, the tracks capture complex emotions that unfold as relationships begin to deepen.
The lead single, “It’s Me,” showcases ILLIT’s confident and playful energy, delivering a candid and unfiltered take on defining a relationship.
Centered on the emotions that follow a first date, the song captures a voice that feels deeply connected to today’s generation, standing out for its bold message: “I’m the one you like.”
ILLIT also dropped the full tracklist, providing a closer look at the overall sonic direction of “Mamihlapinatapai.”
It revealed four new songs alongside “It’s Me”—“GRWM (Get Ready With Me),” “paw, paw!,” “Mamihlapinatapai,” and “Love, older you,” with the unique, quirky titles signalling the album’s diverse musical palette.
