Secure Lent assured in Cagayan Valley

CAMP MARCELO A. ADDURU, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – The Police Regional Office-2 has assured the people that comprehensive security measures are in place to ensure a safe, peaceful, and orderly commemoration in the Cagayan Valley region.
PRO-2 Director Police Brig. Gen. Antonio P. Marallag Jr. said police have been placed on full alert and ready to maintain public safety. He said sufficient personnel have been deployed, with security measures implemented in key areas across the region.
“We encourage the public to remain vigilant, cooperate with our police, and practice discipline and caution at all times. Let us observe this sacred season in a peaceful and orderly manner,” Marallag said.
PRO-2 has strategically deployed personnel in places of worship, major highways, transportation hubs, commercial centers, and tourist destinations. They are supported by force multipliers and partner agencies to ensure maximum police visibility and rapid response.
Police Assistance Desks, mobile patrols, and checkpoint operations were also activated to assist people.
Lawmen are closely coordinating with the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine Coast Guard, local government units, and other stakeholders to ensure a unified and effective approach to public safety.
