A CCTV footage review and several eyewitness accounts led the Naic Municipal Police Station (MPS) to identify one of the suspects, alias Jon, another vendor who was seen talking to the gunman.
A few hours after the crime, Naic MPS personnel collared alias Jon and placed him under custody.
On Sunday, March 29, the Gen. Emilio Aguinaldo MPS operatives arrested alias Jon’s cohort, the gunman identified as alias Manny.
Recovered from his possession was the firearm believed to have been used in the crime, along with sachets of suspected illegal drugs.
Both suspects are facing murder charges, while alias Manny is also facing a separate drug charge.
In Cavite City, a certain alias Chinoy, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, punched a victim in the face. When the latter retaliated, the suspect drew a gun and fired several times. The victim was able to escape unharmed.
However, one of the stray bullets struck a pedicab driver who was passing by the area at the time of the incident. He sustained a wound on the left shoulder and was brought to the hospital for treatment.
