3 drown in Nueva Ecija irrigation canal

CABANATUAN CITY, Nueva Ecija – Three men drowned in an irrigation canal in Barangay Naglabrahan, Science City of Muñoz, this province, on Monday, March 30.
The victims were identified as Elmer, 46, a farmer; Ruben, 31, a security guard; and Jomar, 29, also a security guard.
The Science City of Muñoz Police Station said the victims, reportedly drunk, entered the irrigation canal to swim but drowned.
Authorities recovered the victims and were declared dead in a hospital.
Further investigation is being conducted.
