'BTS: The Return' docufilm debuts in top 10 in 85 countries, regions on Netflix
SEOUL, South Korea - The documentary film about K-pop superstars BTS premiered in the top 10 in 85 countries and territories on Netflix.
“BTS: The Return” was released on Netflix on March 27 and showcases the making of BTS’ comeback album, “Arirang,” which came out on March 20.
The documentary film is from director Bao Nguyen (“The Stringer,” “The Greatest Night in Pop”) and producers This Machine (“Martha,” “Karol G”) and HYBE.
According to streaming analytics website FlixPatrol, “BTS: The Return” debuted at No. 1 in 15 countries and regions, and in the top 10 in 70 others.
“BTS: The Return” is No. 1 in 15 countries and territories: Bolivia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Hong Kong, Japan, Mexico, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Peru, Salvador, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan and Vietnam.
It is No. 2 in 14 countries: Bangladesh, Brazil, Bulgaria, Colombia, Estonia, Honduras, Latvia, Lithuania, Maldives, Panama, Philippines, Portugal, South Korea and Venezuela.
