1,604 cops to secure Holy Week, summer vacation in Cordillera

BAGUIO CITY – The Police Regional Office-Cordillera will deploy 1,604 policemen to secure the region during the Holy Week and summer vacation from April 1 to May 30.
They will be strategically positioned in places of worship, malls, parks, and markets.
The PRO-Cordillera has directed police chiefs to strengthen coordination with partner agencies, especially local government units (LGUs), to ensure comprehensive security throughout the region.
The Baguio City Police Office will also deploy police officers to secure tourist destinations and maintain peace and order here during Holy Week and summer vacation amid fewer visitors and lighter traffic.
Thousands of people in the region are expected to troop to bus terminals to return to their provinces for the Holy Week.
