The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) will undertake rehabilitation works on Rosario Bridge along Ortigas Avenue in Pasig City during Holy Week while maintaining traffic flow to minimize disruption to motorists.
The agency said the project, which involves deck slab waterproofing and asphalt overlay, aims to enhance the bridge’s safety, structural integrity, and durability.
The rehabilitation works will be carried out from Apr. 2 at 12:00 a.m. to Apr. 6 at 5:00 a.m.
“Lane closures will be implemented in phases, starting with the inner lanes of the westbound section, followed by the inner lanes of the eastbound portion, before reopening these sections and proceeding with the outer lanes of both directions until completion,” the DPWH said.
“All lanes will remain passable except for portions under active construction, with traffic management measures in place to ease congestion amid the expected surge of Holy Week travelers,” it added.
Motorists bound for the Rosario C5 Exit and nearby areas may take alternate routes, including the Bridgetowne Diversion via Amang Rodriguez Avenue to Bridgetowne Boulevard to C5.
Other motorists may also use the Tiendesitas Diversion through the C5-Ortigas Interchange to Park Drive, Central Avenue, and C5 northbound.
DPWH urged the public to follow traffic signs and on-site advisories, assuring that the rehabilitation works will be completed on schedule before the end of Holy Week.
