SEOUL, South Korea - K-pop artist Taemin released his first English-language track, “Long Way Home,” on March 27.
“Long Way Home” is a moody, atmospheric pop/R&B ballad that unfolds with cinematic intensity, exploring longing, distance, and the quiet gravity of finding your way back. Anchored by haunting melodies and a magnetic vocal performance, the track reveals a more intimate yet expansive layer of his artistry.
Taemin collaborated with Ben Parris and Corey Marlon Lindsay-Keay aka Believve, whose credits include hits for Tyla, BLACKPINK’s Lisa, Usher, Imagine Dragons, Rauw Alejandro, and Muni Long, bringing a sophisticated, cross-genre sensibility to the song’s refined and tasteful sound.
The Yoo Group in partnership with Def Jam Recordings distribution arm Definity are excited to be working with Taemin and distributing his debut English song.
The release comes ahead of his highly anticipated performance at this year’s Coachella, where he will be the first Korean solo male artist to perform on the lineup.
In addition, he became the first K-pop artist to be part of Amazon Music’s “In The Paint” performance series in partnership with the NBA, and the first solo artist to have an exhibition dedicated to him at the Grammy Museum.
