Samsung announces the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G

Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G in the Philippines, bringing flagship-grade AI features and a top level camera hardware to its mid-range lineup. Both devices run One UI 8.5 and introduce Samsung's "Awesome Intelligence" suite, a set of AI-powered tools designed for everyday productivity, photo editing, and hands-free device control.
"The new Galaxy A series reflects our continued commitment to AI democratization by bringing the latest innovations to more Galaxy users," said TM Roh, chief executive officer, president, and head of device eXperience (DX) division, Samsung Electronics. "With Samsung's fundamental capabilities combined with enriched Awesome Intelligence, Galaxy A57 5G and Galaxy A37 5G will deliver reliable everyday performance to users around the world and drive rapid AI expansion."
AI Features: What Is Awesome Intelligence?
Awesome Intelligence refers to Samsung's collection of on-device and cloud-assisted AI capabilities integrated across the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G. Key features include:
Voice Transcription in the Voice Recorder app — automatically transcribes and translates call recordings and voicemails into text.
AI Select — accessible via a long press on the Edge Panel; extracts text or generates content directly from the screen. Also supports drag-and-drop in Multi-Window mode for faster editing in Samsung Notes and Photo Editor.
Object Eraser — uses AI to remove unwanted subjects from photos with more natural-looking results.
Best Face (Galaxy A57 5G only) — supports continuous shooting to ensure everyone in a group photo looks their best.
Auto Trim (Galaxy A57 5G only) — automatically edits videos for quicker sharing.
Circle to Search with Google — now supports multi-object recognition, letting users search multiple items within a single image simultaneously.
Bixby (upgraded) — a conversational device agent for controlling Galaxy settings via natural language.
Gemini — handles complex tasks across native Galaxy apps and select third-party apps.
Camera Specs: Triple Rear Camera System
Both the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G feature a triple rear camera system:
- 50MP main sensor with an upgraded Image Signal Processor (ISP)
- Ultra-wide lens for group photos and landscapes
- 5MP macro camera for close-up detail shots
Additional camera capabilities include improved Nightography for low-light photography and video, AI-based subject recognition and scene optimization, and natural skin tone preservation with sharper background separation.
The Galaxy A57 5G adds enhanced image processing for reduced noise, richer contrast, and a faster shutter speed for capturing fast-moving subjects.
Display, performance, and battery
The Galaxy A57 5G features a Super AMOLED+ display with slimmer bezels and Vision Booster technology for outdoor visibility. The device is powered by an upgraded CPU, GPU, and NPU combination and includes a 5,000mAh battery rated for up to two days of use.
Both devices are rated IP68 for water and dust resistance.
Software Support and Security
Samsung is offering long-term software support on both devices:
Up to 6 generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades
Up to 6 years of security updates
Security features include Knox Vault (hardware-based tamper-resistant protection), Auto Blocker, Theft Protection, Private Sharing, a Security & Privacy Dashboard, Privacy Alerts (intelligent notifications about location permissions and suspicious data monitoring), and a new Private Album feature for locking personal media inside the Gallery app.
