REP. Paolo Duterte turned 51 recently. He is overseas to be with his father for his 81st birth anniversary.
DAVAO CITY – Davao City first district Rep. Paolo Duterte marked his 51st birth anniversary on Tuesday, March 24, with a community outreach effort that benefited thousands of residents here even though he was out of the country.
According to the lawmaker's team, food packs were distributed to various sectors, including children, senior citizens, public utility drivers, and vendors, groups often considered among the economically vulnerable.
The activity was carried out on his behalf, without public events or media coverage. Duterte's camp said the initiative reflected his continued engagement with constituents on the grassroots level.
The lawmaker was in The Hague, Netherlands, to be with his father, former President Rodrigo R. Duterte, who will turn 81 on Saturday, March 28.
Supporters said the low-profile approach highlighted a more personal way to mark the occasion, with the focus on providing direct assistance rather than drawing attention to the celebration.
The Duterte family’s outreach programs, particularly those aimed at marginalized communities, have been a consistent part of their public service initiatives.
Supporters will hold a Solidarity Walk on March 28 here to mark the former President's 81st birth anniversary. The activity is set to run from Roxas Ave. to Rizal Park.
